It works like a real app — its own icon, opens fullscreen, and it updates itself. No app store, nothing to download from anywhere else. Takes about twenty seconds.
🤖 Android phone or tablet
Open harmony.justsoyouknow.site in Chrome.
Tap the ⋮ menu (top right).
Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app).
Confirm — the schoolhouse icon appears with your other apps.
If Chrome shows an Install banner or the button above is visible, one tap does all of it.
🍎 iPhone or iPad
Open harmony.justsoyouknow.site in Safari (it must be Safari — Chrome can't add apps on iOS).
Tap the Share button — the square with the arrow pointing up, at the bottom or top of the screen.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Name it (Harmony Today is pre-filled) and tap Add.
On iOS 16.4 or newer, the installed app can even receive update notifications if we turn them on later.
🧒 A kid's tablet
Same steps on their device — sign in to Safari or Chrome once, add to home screen, done. It opens fullscreen with no address bar for them to wander, and you can restrict the browser afterward: the app keeps working because it's really the site, cached on the device. It also keeps showing lunch and the calendar even when school Wi-Fi is being school Wi-Fi.
💻 Laptop?
No install needed — it's just a website. Bookmark harmony.justsoyouknow.site and you have everything. Chrome and Edge also offer Install page as app… in the address bar if you like a separate window.
